Which makes more sense?
The government is too big but I'd rather pay as I go. I don't want to hand down this huge bill to my kids or my grandkids.

In 1988 we passed the point of no return. The interest on the national debt now exceeds the gross national product. If we stopped all deficit spending, taxed everyone 100% and put it all toward the national debt, it would still continue to grow, due to the interest. IOW, we WILL pass on the debt for ever and ever. There is no way out.

When Lick my Willy was in the whitehouse (before the Bush tax cuts) his deficit was $400 million. So when you libs talk about deficit spending, include the Democrats. Besides, Dems started it before you were born. You got nothing to say about it.

Above all we need to reduce the size of the govt to meet our tax revenue. As the economy continues to slow we must do this or else we get 5x the deficit. Raising taxes just harms the poor because businesses begins shutting down like in France where there is 10x the deficit, double unemployment and suicide rate. Rather, we need to elect Giulliani who will reduce the size of govt, as he reduced it by 20% in New York. No one else has the courage to do this and balance the books.

As long as a Liberal, or Democrat is in office, you will. They started it with Social Security, have never stopped, and don't appear that they have any plans to. Americans are the ones that need to stand up, and say we have had ENOUGH!
