Ive never had a interview this big. Im only 20, so this is a big start for my career. I was wondering if anyone had any tips? What do the interviewers like to hear? I have already looked up all the info on the company. Was that smart, or should I have asked the interviewer all the questions as it would have gave me some stuff to ask? Lol, ill probably ask them anyway. Do interviewers like you to be forward and persistent? At my last job I put the guy on the spot and asked him "When do I start?" I know this may be wrong but, I got the job. Anyone have any ideas or smart interviewing tips?

Most companies now choose either competency based interviewing or biograpical format. Competency is where you are asked to provide examples of when you have been in certain situations before and based on your answer they can analyse how experienced you are. Biographical format is where the interviewer will go through your CV, from education, through work history, to career, goals and aspirations. However, it could be a non-standardised interview format. Turn up 15 minutes ahead of your interview. Research the company. Be enthusiastic. Listen to the question and come back with the most appropriate answer. Don't waffle. Don't ask 'when do I start'. It may have worked for you last time but it is too presumptious. Be smart and have some questions for the end relating to the job itself and/or the company - not the salary or benefits. Maintain eye contact. Shake the interviewer's hand before and after the interview. A good, strong handshake, not a wilting lettuce leaf. Interviewers like to hear enthusiasm for their job and their company.

Good luck!

Eagerness is good, and intelligence is better. Todays work force requires some new skills. Show somehow that you are a team player and emphasize your skills in working as a team. Prepare and practice. It's better to take a minute to think about a question than to go head into it and get stuck. Most interviews involve a question about what your weakness is. Don't use the word weakness. Say, "One area that I am working on is....I have been doing....to improve in that area."

Be prepared--sounds like you're on the way by researching the company. Now think of some questions about what you read that sound intelligent and interested.

Dress well, at least sport coat, tie, dress shirt, dress slacks, dress shoes. The impression you make is as important as anything else you do. Good luck.
