Start my car and it runs a few seconds and then stops. When I get out of the car, their is a french fries aroma. No I am not waiting in the McDonalds drive thru. I have heard of jokers putting potatoes in vehicle exhaust pipes. There are spud peels laying around and on my car. Is someone sereptisously using my transportation as a deep fryer?

Sounds like someone shoved potatoes up your tail pipe. Your engine stalling is a classic symptom of a plugged exhaust.
