You should not be holding hands in class. It's distracting to the rest of the class and it's not for that certan area. If you want to hold hands, hold them in the hall, in the lunch area, the park on the sidewalk, but not in class. It's rude and disrespectful to your ladyfreind and your classmates.
Public display of affection has it's place and time. You're young and think that you should be able to do what you want where you want. It's not done that way. Please think of how others feel too.

To many there isn't a point except having contact with the person you are with. My husband and I hold hands every now and then. Some times we hug or a quick kiss (puck on the lips) in public. I see nothing wrong with that at all. It's the ones who need to 'get a room' that I feel there's a problem. It does make many people feel uncomfortable and there might be children around as well that their parents don't want them exposed to it.

I don't see anything wrong with holding hands. If you were dirty dancing or something in public, I can see a problem. Public displays of affection are just a way of telling the world that you're proud to have that person in your life. What could be wrong with that?

What's wrong with it?
I'm not talking about crawling all over one another in a public park, but there is no shame in common public displays of affection.

i would take personal offense if a teacher came up and told me that I cannot hold hands with my partner. Now, if she/he applies this rule across the boartd to ALL couples, that's one thing, but if she has singled you out because you are a gay couple, then that's a problem.
It sounds like you are out, so, you dont have to worry about being "outed". Take this a step further. Go to the administration and seek satifsaction. If that fails, take it further.
It sounds just wrong.

1) To annoy single people
2) Holding hands! Lol. That's a bit ridiculous. They're probably just jealous.

I guess it has to do with respect for others/other students/teachers. You go to school to learn---not hold hands or to get girlfriends. Personally, I think it would be fine, but they did not ask my opinion. lol

It's a form of insecurity and territorial staking. But I can't believe you're not allowed to do it.
