Yes, they showed it on tv in Japan about a year and a half ago. That's where I saw it.
I think EVERY American should see it. I thought of buying a copy and forcing my mom, brother, sister, etc to sit and watch it. Then maybe my mom would stop voting for Bush.
And to the guy who mentioned Capra, Yeah, duh--this IS the title of a recent documentary that alludes to the old Frank Capra one.
Incidentally, this documentary instilled in me a great respect for Dwight Eisenhower. Now there was a president.

i have personally been their twice and going a third time as a mercenary. Why we fight is for the guy next to you, not for america for american people forget about the war, it's not new to them. If the american people really support the war then they would have ended it. making sure that your buddy gets home alive is the most important, just dealing with the mental aspect is the real battle. pray for our troops and never forget, the war maybe over their, but the soldiers fight the mental war until the day they die.

I did not see it. I will though and get back with you.

I watched one and two. I was struck by the warning from Eisenhauer about war being in the hands of corporations and not the country. So true.

first of all "why we fight" was done by Frank Cappra, in hollywood. to explain to the american people why and what was going on in the world at that time (circa '40,'41) much of what appeard in the doc was from captured axies propaganda film . maybe the one you refer to should be titled "another fine mess you've gotten me into,Ollie"

The Fog of War is much better and possibly the greatest documentary of all time.

I thought Why we Fight was very boring.
