A president can not get an act of congress completed in 6 or 7 weeks so there is nothing they could do to dramatically change anything. I am waiting for answers from the left to say that he could pull all our troops out of Iraq which would be nice for the troops, but then the world would not be a better place since 10,000's of Iraqi's would be instantly killing each other.
I guess I would, in that short time frame, demand that our generals in Iraq and allies get the Iraqi police trained for the inevitable withdraw of US troops.

First of all, I would close our borders and then focus on taking care of the needs of our own people and if that meant deporting illegal immigrants so that our citizens could prosper from the jobs that they would be vacating, then so be it. I would also put a "cap" on how much OPEC could charge for oil and also make sure that all available refineries are operating and are not shut down for any reason other than maintenance. I would also make sure that each and every citizen has health care and put restrictions on insurance and drug companies from overcharging the customers. After that is put into place and all our citizens are taking care of, then I would take a look at what could be done outside of the U.S. to help.
