Ex felons in florida do have the right to vote.

The governor of florida signed the law last week that automaticaly gives ex felons their right to vote back.

Florida never really denied ex felons the right to vote, they just made it where they felon had to apply to get their right to vote back, and then made the process cumbersome.

You'd have to find statistics on convicts who have had their voting rights restored and that show that their voting has somehow been more detrimental to society than that of the the average voter. I doubt you'll find anything credible to support that position. There's just nothing that gets on the ballot that the formidable 'ex-convict voting block' can get behind that would do any great harm to society. There might be some far right-wing sources that fudge the data to indicate that but if you have competent opponent I suspect you're out of luck.

Hopefully you're an skilled BS artist and can spin straw into gold. Good luck.

I love my debate class and the research involved....(I had a question about alternative means of punishment).

Try magazine articles...particularly law review articles. There should be tons of info. You can also get ideas from other states.
