New York is impressive, but I lived in DC and I was impressed with all the diversity--it was absolutely incredible. I met Sierra Leonians, Hondurans, Chinese, Japanese, Cote d'Ivorens, Peruvians, Venezuelans, Chileans, Cubans, Nigerians, Vietnamese, Laotians, Cambodians, French, Italians, Canadians, Koreans, New Guineans, Australians, South Africans, Somalians, Norwiegans, Fins, Indians, Bengalis, Pakistanians, Iraqis, Palestinians, Israelis, Jordanians, Lebanese . . . but I have little experience with New York; I've only been there three times and never on an extended stay.

Definitely the northern east coast especially in New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., with New York most likely having the most diversity of the three.

I would think that New York City would be the ultimate melting pot of cultures.
