There is a lot of talk this week about American's gun/violent culture. As an American, I would like to know how violence for entertainment purposes is viewed in Europe.

It seem that here, violence is glorified. Movies, TV, and video games are all dominated by violence, specifically gun violence. Is is much different in Europe and how so?

unfortunately, violence is beginning to travel the world. in UK we are and always will be a multi cultural society, so therefore it is imperative that we should embrace other cultures but maintain our own. Do unto others as you would have done to you . Music is the international language, and although one may not understand the words, the feeling for the music comes through. I beg all to be tolerant of each other, or one day we will destroy the world. It is actually possible to see this with your own eyes, if only you opened them and look around you.

You should know that often the same movies, tv-shows and video games exists here in Europe to.

The reason i think there are so many shootings in US is that it`s just so easy some places to get a gun. In Europe it`s much stricter, and it`s just not a culture of owning guns(excepts those for huntig purposes).

I am also of the impression that Americans are a more scared lot, and feel safer if they own a gun. This is not the case in Europe, and i barely know a person who owns a gun.

There always has been violence against people, especially those who feel oppressed, the violent tendencies are tremendous. Ignorance to act out on violent thoughts like the individual on Monday are inexcusable. As a result, people who identify and sympathize with him are creating problems that are unnecessary. They are saying that it was the fault of the people that the individual was jealous of that caused the rampage, when it is the fault of his parents and family who barely acknowledges his existence, let alone his dysfunctions. So, they are creating hate towards white, middle class individuals in America, Canada and the UK. Incredible how the creeps always find opportunities to add fuel to the fire.
