No, the sound is a vibration of the air waves and there is no air.

I believe that the point of the question has nothing to do with the moon, and the asker has complicated the question and confused his audience by introducting that local.
The point of this absurd question has always been this: is there a sound if there is no one to hear it? Since sound implies both and causal source and a receptor, the answer appears to be no in the absence of a listener. But were we to place a diaphram and a needle tracing a graph on a paper, it would record the fact that there had been a sound, so the answer, under those circumstances would be yes. The sound is actual; it is merely unheard.
Let's put the issue in another context. Ask is there love if the beloved never knows that he/she is the object of love? For love to exist, is it necessary that there be an echo sentiment in the object of love? Or is love an actual condition even if it affects only one person entirely absent any interaction with the object of love? Is there love between a parent and a child if the parent in no way communicates his/her love and the child never knows of it?

Did you find trees on the moon? Than OK.
During the process of gravitation...there will be some winds and the power and intensity will get higher...but after a while the pressure of air will make it slow...and then will rain...and the tree will get wet...and after that...night will come...the tree will continue to fall, but no yet to the ground. The morning sun will come and will shine, and then the tree will be dry.....
And finally the tree will be soo tired, so it wont make any noise...it will fall asleep right after lands on the ground.
That's the journey of the poor moon tree.

No trees, no atmosphere, no sound:
"ATMOSPHERE
The moon has no atmosphere. On the moon, the sky is always appears dark, even on the bright side (because there is no atmosphere). Also, since sound waves travel through air, the moon is silent; there can be no sound transmission on the moon."

If Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin transported a tree from Earth to the moon then I suppose that it must make some sound.

Silly. Everyone knows that trees don't grow on the moon. Only bushes.

I believe there might be a gravity problem there...not to mention, who's gonna take the tree to test the theory?
