I think it would be very nice especially if was actually underwater near a living reef. It might be awesome to eat your dinner while checking out sharks swimming by.

This may already have been done, if you are ever in the Fort Lauderdale area, make a trip to Sawgrass Mall, and go to Rain Forest Cafe, a large majority of their walls are aquariums.
I also noticed this in Atlantis in the Bahamas.
Visit these places and see if your idea differs, or is similar enough with a unique twist which would Wow! potential restaurant goers. Good luck

Unique, plan to add other artworks??
Problem: keeping tanks Clean & fish fed.
Major issue.
Shield with acrylic glass to deter leakage.
Have EZ acess for cleaning units.
Place serve Seafood, Fusion fare???
Be Unique.
Be daring.
Be Spicy.
Maybe include mermaids, ship models, or Tech Art, Nautical art, or "undersea feel".
Have cuisine be Unique & price fair or people wont come & then pay MORE for Rent vs the Meal.
IE place Looks Good BUT Food stinks.
Bad PR.

Sounds fancy and nice - would probably do well attracting customers. However I can only imagine what the upkeep on something like that would cost. You're pricing would have to reflect those added costs.
And the food of course. No matter how nice the place looks, if the food isn't good, I'm not going :-)
Good luck!

It's a great theme for an upscale seafood restaurant.
If you're ever in Las Vegas, take a look at the one at Mandalay Bay.....truly awesome.

But, keep in mind that it's pretty expensive initially, and to maintain.
And, regardless of how clean you keep them, fish tanks smell. So you need a separate ventilation system.

Very ambitious. I like the sound of it, as far as atmosphere. I say go for it, just make sure it doesn't violate any building coding laws before you do :-).

My kids would love it.

Great idea - when they are new and clean.
Bad idea - when they get dirty and in need of cleaning.
