last year (2006), it was 4 sets. 6-2 6-7(2) 6-3 7-6(5). 230 minutes long. in 2005, it was 4 sets too. why...?

this year, indian wells' finals was 2 sets. 62 75 nadal d djokovic. miami's was 3 straight sets. 63 62 64 djokovic d canas. monte carlo's was 2 sets. 64 64 nadal d federer. i looked at wiki about monte carlo. in 2003, ferrero won in 2 sets. 62 62. in 2005, nadal won in 4 sets, 6-3, 6-1, 0-6, 7-5. there were years before that that had only best out of 3 sets. if master series should have best out of 3 in finals, since its not a grand slam, why did the 2007 miami final had 3 straight sets in a best out of 5 sets?

im not complaining that nadal won. i know he's really good. federer too. but im just confused. i would really like a longer match :-)

i also dont know and confuse because he only need to win 2 set. maybe the rules is now different. as i know, in every master's final, you must win 3 set (best-of-5-set) to win it.
