First try to find a Therapist or Psychiatrist who is Gay friendly and if that is uncomfortable for you and you feel you need a Therapist try one and on your first or second visit if you feel you are not able to speak openly with him or her change immediately. Do not waste your time and money with someone you do not "click" with. I tried several and was not comfortable with them and now have found a doctor where I look forward to each visit and think of him as my friend, not my Doctor

Why do you care if he accepts you or not ? Are you in love with him ? If so then you need to find a new therapist . If not then its not his job to judge you and if he is then you need to find a new therapist ! If Not then I would think it is part of your therapy to disclose your sexual orientation . You shouldn't be going to a therapist that doesn't accept your sexuality .

The therapist is a professional and your communication is privileged and can not be disclosed. The therapist should be objective and is there to help you not make judgments. If you are not comfortable discussing this issue with your therapist, find another you can discuss this issues with.

who cares if they accept you? They are a therapist and its not their job to " accept " you, its their job to treat you for whatever condition you are suffering from.

Almost certainly they will. Their job is to deal with each patient as an individual with individual problems. Your gender preference has nothing to do with whether or not they accept you.

if they are a good therapist, i doubt sexual orientation will be an issue except to look into perhaps your obvious self consciousness about it.
