There are resume wizard templates in your word processing software, otherwise, go to the library and they should have software discs that will help you put a proper resume together.

If you have microsoft works not word there are some ideals there.

But if you do it in this order:
Objective: this is what you want to bring to the job or how you can be an assest to the company.
Education: listing most recent
Work history: begin with most recent.

Now under the work history. Put time there from when to when, then your title, then you want name, address and phone number of the place. If place is closed then state that. Also a supervisors name. Then you want to list what your duties were at that job. The reason for putting the places info is this. When I look a resume i look at the places worked. I like to call and verify employment for the main reason to see if you are making this place up. If you have places listed that are from other towns or states how is the employer going to look it up. Employers are busy people and don't have time to look those things up. It maybe tedious to you, but could mean a job.

3 references 2 personal an 1 business that does not have to be a supervisor maybe a co worker.

I hope this helps.

Here are 2 sites that I believe can help you.

Check this one out first. They have some free stuff, and it's from a job search company, so should have good tips

Then try this. Look them both over and see what best fits for you. This is another job site.
