I have a 9 and 10 year old daughters.
I 'm sharing custody with their better than nothing call mom.
She cares less for them all she cares is how much money she can squeeze from me. I moved to SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA and my daughters want to come down and stay with me and visit mom duruing vacations.
Right now is the other way, how can I make this change so they can stay with me , my wife" my daughter's step mom, but they call her mom" and my two boys.
They do better in school and overall better with us.
Their mom is always changing schools evry year and their grandma is the one who actualy take's care of them and not the mom iher self.
California seems like they go toward the mom's side all the time. I had social services involved cause her husband use to hit my daughters and they didn't do anything just a warnig. mom got caught lying in court and making my girls make up stories and still she always get's wat she want's.
So I'm getting desperate at thi point.

The best thing I can recommend is for you to get a good attorney, and document EVERYTHING!! With proper documentation of things that go on, courts will give more precedence to the situation, and you could win full custody.

I know the attorney will cost, friend.......but sometimes you don't have a choice.

If the court continuously sides with your ex-wife, there's nothing you can do about getting custody.

However, I'm concerned with you moving away from your girls. I can't think of a good reason for you to have done that, especially since they're not being taken care of. If you want to do something for your daughters, move to the same town where they live and stay closer to them. That way you can be there for them, instead of them being taken care of by their grandmother.

I realize you might not like this answer, but it's the best you can do until the court listens to you. It would also make it easier to get proof of mistreatment, if it occurs.

By the way, your job is not a good reason, when your girls' welfare is at stake. THEY should be your first priority. You can get a job anywhere.

Typical story across the world. Your best bet here is to petition the court for a hearing for remodification for child custody. Then ask the Judge to let the girls decide for themselves who they want to live with. Theyre old enough. The Judge will take them into his chambers and ask them some questions and if he likes what he hears, will take the choice into serious consideration, barring any othr legality which prevents him from doing so. Bring any old and ne evidence you can get your hands on and any witnesses to show a hostile and unsafe environment at moms house. Dont bring any hearsay into the court cause itll hurt your chances and from prior experiences you know dont coach the girls. Good luck

Each state has their own laws about this but I'm pretty sure all states go for the Mom for some reason. As long as you can prove you can be a better parent for the children, especially if they say they want to live with you, the courts should grant that wish. Good luck.

You had better have very deep pockets, bud. Think this through, you have NO guarantees, and unless "Mom" is an outright crack whore, you have VERY little chance of getting custody. Meanwhile , your daughters are getting damaged by all of this, do what is truly in the best interest of your daughters.

Sounds like if you want to spend money and push it in court you need to get your evidence of her being an unfit mom and they will have no choice but to listen to you, and have the girls speak in court if possible saying they want to live with you and that your ex is a hose bag of a mother. but you have to be able to prove it, because most fathers get a bad rap in court due to the deadbeats who don't pay child support and don't involve themselves in their kids lives. and bring up the fact your daughters were getting hit and she did nothing about it.

new child help and custody are 2 diverse subject concerns. the two would desire to be court docket ordered. on condition that your father became court docket ordered to pay new child help on your mom, that's what he's doing. given which you mom became granted custody of you by yet another court docket order, you stick to her. in case you desire to stay with your father, and your mom isn't keen to permit you to realize this, he could desire to bypass lower back to court docket and petition that the unique ruling giving your mom custody be overturned. to ascertain that that to be triumphant, he could would desire to tutor that residing with your mom is a threat on your existence and secure practices. So no, you asserting you do unlike your mom (as all infants your age do quicker or later) will no longer make a choose overrule an latest custody order.

the only thing I could tell you is to fight for your girls, don't let enything stop you from that it may take a while but don't give up. If the girls want to be with you then that is another reason for you to keep fighting and do what you have to do. JUST DON'T GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!

The law can be very one-sided when it comes to this.

We can just hope that one day we will be treated as equals.
