...do people feel the right to give a thumbs down to a personal answer? The question poses was "Give two words to describe how you feel about the VT shootings!" Anyone can go see what I put! Someone gave me a thumbs down!! I was appawled! This is how I feel, so I went back and wrote why I chose those words and why I feel them. It makes me hurt and sick that someone thiks they can justify a thumbs down for an answer like that or any answers like that. I think if you disagree with something or the answer is stupid then you can, but for a personal coment.....you can't. (or shouldn't be able to)
I know that people can thumbs down whatever they want...but come on....there's gotta be a little line! Sorry...kinds venting and just wanna know what people think about the stupid thumbs down!!

Thanx alot guys...this makes me feel better. I just try to look past it the next time it happens. I agree that people have the right to disagree with me. I guess it's just upsetting sometimes!

Just ignore it... just like you have your opinion, they have their opinion of yours. In this place (America) you must be open and accepting to everyone's opinions. You have the right to express yours, they have the right to express theirs.

I do not feel the right to do that to anyone. I only do so when it comes to opinions. When it is a bad thing they are saying, yes you will get a thumbs down or even reported if it is TOO extreme (e.g. Smitty). I find it really sad that i get thumbs down for some questions i answer because i had problems with that person. It made me quite angry but i just ignored it. It's sad that people have to do these things and i agree with you. Also, i have had a thumbs down for my opinion on the V-tech shootings. I firstly felt sorry for the attacker, that's why i got the thumbs down, then the victims etc. It's sad that some people do this. I very much agree with you. My personal opinion is mine and no one has the right to thumbs me down for it, especially when i tell the truth about HOW i feel about it.

Your answer "forever changed! may have irked someone in the wrong way. Although I don't see anything wrong with it. Whoever it was that "sunk" your answer does not deserve one minute of your worrying moment 'cos I know you mean well and really, what you think of your answer is more important than what other people think. You're worth A LOT in God's eyes so don't let a mere mortal put you down.

I hate the thumbs down too. I didn't see the question, but it could have just been one of the thumb's down trolls. Try not to get so upset by this.
I just got an unfriendly e-mail from someone who didn't like my answer. It goes with the territory.

Don't stress it....I have been given them too for personal opinion,,,,just think of it as a way of that person disagreeing with you not really saying that what you put is right or wrong just simply that they disagree.....The whole thumbs up/down bit is just a ratings thing....just like your personal opinion...it is personal too....

Not to worry about it. You most likely gave a good answer.
But there a few negative nutters who take pleasure in thumbing down ALL answer to any questions. Perhaps they get a kick out of making others look bad.

In the free world you can express just about anything you want. Racial slurs by whites excepted. There are immature kids on the internet....just blow it off. Vast majority around the world are still stunned at what happened at VT.
