sqrt(10) is the same as sqrt(2) * sqrt(5). sqrt(16)=+or-4. So you have +or-4sqrt(2)*sqrt(5)/sqrt(5). Take out sqrt(5)'s, since one is being divided by other. You have left +or-4sqrt(2).

NOTE: -4*-4 is +16. +4*+4 is +16.

ur answer is not going to be a whole number...(first of all)

well then to start:u'll need a calculator (but if ur a math genius ..then great)

1. u find sqrt. of 10 = 3.16227766
2. u find sqrt of 16 = 4

3. then u multiply the two = 3.16227766 x 4
= 12.64911064

4. then u find the sqrt of 5 = 2.236067978
5. u divide 12.64911064 by 2.236067978
6. u get the accurate answer = 5.656854248
7. u round off ur answer to 5.7

p.s : we considered all the digits to get accurate answers...u have a choice to take onli 2 d.p also.

factor and multiply sq rt5/sq rt5 to get 5 as denominator(rule)
so sq rt 5^2 2^5 you get 5(2)^2 sq rt of2 now you still have a 5 in denominator which cancels out with 5 in numerator leaving final answer 4 sq rt of 2

The sq. rt. of 10/32 (fraction)=(sq. rt. 10) / (sq. rt. 32) =(sq. rt. 10) / (4 X sq. rt. 2) multiply by (sq. rt. 2) / (sq. rt. 2) to do away with the radical interior the denominator =(sq. rt. 20) / 8 =(2 X sq. rt. 5) /8 sq. rt. is my abbreviation for the sq. root image in case you have complication simplifying sq. roots, only touch me (i like math :] ).

√ 10 can be written as (√2)*(√5)
√16 can be written as (√2*2*2*2)=2*2=4
√5 =√5
so
{(√2)*(√5)*4}/√5=4√2 ans
