Yes, I do. When I was a child we slept on a porch that was closed in by my grandfather to make room for my mom, my sister and me. It rained a lot and I loved the sound. It would lull me to sleep at night. I really miss that sound. I wish I could find a CD with that sound.
Now I live where it hails a lot. Everyone worries about their roof, but I love that sound so much. The only thing I worry about is people getting caught in the hail. It can be dangerous. I also worry about farmers who need good weather for their crops, so I'm glad when it falls here instead of on farmland.
I guess the reason I love the sound of hail is that it reminds me of the sound of rain on a metal roof, that I miss so much. I know it messes up my flower garden, but that is just the way of nature.
Thanks for the question. It brought me back a lot of years to some great memories.
