As in every career, a individual prospers up the ladder and peaks to where he has to decide whether he continues in a downtoned manner or quits for the good.
In athletic sports including cricket the career span is short and Pollock has enjoyed a fruitful carrer spanning almost 10 years. Depending on fitness and family considerations he has to make a decision.

I`m from South Africa and i have to say yes Shaun Pollock is the Best bowler i have seen. So yes i do think he shoud go on for ever.

Every player has his time. When the player become old and feels that he will not be able to perform at the same level he has been performing, he should retire when he is in top form instead of waiting till his form deteriorate, so that he can retire gracefully.
