I rather the person tell me the truth than to protect me from it. and would want to know exactly what the situation be. holding the truth from me will only make it worse. I feel if it has anything to do with my family that I have the right to know no matter what it is.

I'd much rather know the truth, no matter what it is. Being protected only means you're living in a fantasy world. I'd rather meet the problem head on, deal with it and put it behind me.

I dunno...I suppose in a way I would like to be told the truth but then again if the truth was gonna hurt me then I don't think I'd wanna know.

Every time a lie is told, the truth comes out sooner or later, and the lie is worse than the situation in the beginning.

I do not feel lying is protecting me. I feel it's a betrayal. If there is a horrible truth out there I'll find out eventually, and I'll still have to deal with it.
I'd rather face things head on. Hell, maybe I could even make things better. You can't fix something if you don't know it's broken.

I would want to know the truth because I think that it would be hard to hide it and you would sense that something was wrong anyway. This way you can face the problem head on instead of wondering exactly how bad it is.
