ABSOLUTELY! I put in my time (volunteer). Let them put in their time.
Notice that you don't see a single member of the extended Bush family actually in uniform, do you? Gee I wonder why?
The term "chicken hawk" DOES come to mind, doesn't it?
It's so easy to see war as a great idea when you have no personal experience with it.
Send off someone else to actually do the messy part - the fighting and the dying! That's what a chickenhawk does.
WAR = FAILURE OF DIPLOMACY.
Guess that's the problem here. GWB has no clue about diplomacy, and the whole world is suffering.

PEOPLE ............ STOP IT!!!!
OK....You have served your 8 years....Thank you!
To all who answered and served........Thank you!
To all those who want to do nothing but bash a war, the President, and anyone else who differs with your opinion....Fine...but STOP attacking each other!
We Are All Americans!!! And if we don't stop the internal strife....this country WILL BE ripped apart from the inside OUT!
And yes...I served my time....thank you...and so did my husband! I have 8 relatives and/or friends currently in Iraq!

well how I see it, the armed forces gives you money and helps you with college tuitions, so I believe that joining is really only an option for the lower income peoples. because they want to go to college and they cannot afford it. So with a majority of republicans being a bit wealthier they can afford not to go, they dont need to, God knows we need more Corporate lawyers, and more coporate leaders, so they cant go.
po folks go to war, plain and simple.
(yes I have family in Iraq, and they are not wealthy individuals)

I'm a Republican, am completely in favor of the war, and have no intention of going to Iraq. My DD214 says I was discharged friom the USN as a CT2 on 14 August 1993, last duty station Diego Garcia.

33% of enlisted personnel are Republican 33% are Democrat and 33% are independent/other. So yes, Republicans should be enlisting for the war they supposedly support. If you support it - ENLIST.

You took money from the government . Now you undo the possible good you have done by trashing America here. Lee Harvey Oswald served also.

The need to be having a liberty picnic in Iraq. With American flag tableware and little plastic flags to wave. It needs to be held in the middle of the insurgents' territories. Bush, cheny and rove need to host it.. I am sure Iraq would welcome them with open "arms" ......

Republicans are in Iraq fighting to keep your liberal butt safe while you cower in a darkend corner of your basement. I enlisted in 1966 and spent 14 months in Vietnam under a famous democrat President who screwed the pooch on that war. Now we have a President whose willing to take the fight to the enemy and all you libs can do is whine. Here's a clue for you:
It's an all-volunteer Army and no one is going to force you to let go of mommies apron strings and actually do something for your Country in return for all that's been done for you. You can stop quaking now.

They are too busy being keyboard warriors. They are fighting the liberals here on the net, so they don't have to fight the terrorists in Iraq.

Because I already SERVED my country in the US Navy during the FIRST Gulf War and am now a war VETERAN.
Why don't YOU go out and do something productive rather than sitting here wasting MY time as you spew forth all the Liberal talking points you hear from the mainstream media?
