Most people are rude people here in the second largest city of the world, Los Angeles, California. Since there are alot of people there is a lot of competition going on which equals rudeness and people who aren't polite as well. Like in college there are these two people that are rude to each other and curse because of "Who wrote the longer reports". Other times when someone drops their papers at a park or somewhere when they are walking, no one helps them. Others are just mind their own business other than to their friends.
You will occasionally find some polite people and there are alot of them but I'm sure there are less than rude people in this city, like at least 5% less of the city. I would be one of those people who helps people and does community service and wot not but I do get a bit "minding my own business" when I am really busy. My estimate would be:
55% Rude (including minding owns business)
44.5% Polite (including minding owns business)
0.5% Just polite
This is because I'm sure everyone minds their own business once in a while.

I live in a town in Indiana, USA, of about 50,000 people. The people here, for the most part, are warm, compassionate, and polite. Of course, there are exceptions.
Even in nearby cities, such as Indianapolis, IN, Louisville, KY, and Cincinnati, OH, I find the people to be quite nice.

I live in a town of about 500 people and most are pretty polite. Unfortunately none of those polite people are my neighbors! I have 3 neighbors who are just rude. They don't even pretend to be nice!

i live in a large metropolitan area of the midwest, usa, and for the most part people are in a mind their own business attitude.....but friendly when approached with a friendly attitude. of course there are a few you would come across that are miserable, and let everyone around them know it.....sad beings that they are.....

depends on where, i have been on crutches and was in a wheelchair after an accident, people are generally rude, wont make room to walk past some peopl even bumped me and have stepped on me, they dont generally hold doors open or anything.

I live in London (UK) and for the most people are really friendly, You do get the odd rude person but not that often..
