i kno hes thinking about doing the trade but if he accepts should i let it go through. I could always trade one of my shortstpos for another pitcher. I have tejada, young, and then reyes.

Great deal for you. Ortiz puts up numbers very close to Pujols in the first place and you get an elite SS (the best in the business right now). Sell Beckett high...he is off to a great start but he has wins against KC, Seattle (right after the many snow days, bats werent going) and the Angels (they have very little in the way of bats to get going). He did beat the Yankees but they did put up 5 on him in 6 innings and he has to face the AL east and central alot (they have good hitting in these divisions). Punto isnt anything more than a throw in, if he starts on any fantasy team that guy is in trouble. Plus with the SS you already have you are in a great position to pick up very good pitching after this deal. Let the deal go through, you are getting the better of it.

Punto is nice because he has eligibilty at several different positions but there are always those types of players available (Aaron Hill, Kevin Youkilis) so I wouldn't even consider him as part of the equation for you, not to mention you don't know how his injured ankle is doing. I would look at it as coming down to Pujols for Ortiz and Beckett for Reyes. As much of a stud as Pujols is Ortiz will almost match him in everything except for AVG. The way I look at it the biggest part of the trade would be Beckett for Reyes and there is no way in the world I would ever make that trade unless I was the one receiving Reyes. Reyes is probably the best fantasy SS there is and could easily lead the lead in trips and SB. Maybe try just Young for Beckett straight up?

Yes, trade away Young for some pitching if that's what you're after....... Like, M. Young TEX SS for C.C. Sabathia CLE SP. Complete this trade though, granted you're giving up Pujols, but you're getting Reyes & Ortiz! Bananas. Once you've got Reyes as your SS, and Tejada playing IF or UTIL, trade away Young for that pitching.

GLuck

Yes, let it go through, if they accept. Then turn around and trade Tejada or Young for another nice pitcher. You're in a good position. Good luck.

I think that is a good trade, but you then need to unload one of your other shortstops....reyes could be the best in the game

personally I think the other person would be stupid to do that.

You dont need three allstar shortstops. Its great if you get them, and you could problably trade for great pitchers. I would not do it if i were him
