There are commercial cleaners, but the cheapest, white vinegar. Take the head off, soak in white vinegar. Scrub with an old tooth brush, and replace.

I take my showerhead off & soak it in a pail of plain old white vinegar for a couple of hours when it starts getting a buildup

The answers given about useing Vinegar are well
worth trying. Have done this myself- let head soak in
plastic bag over night or longer if you can. Hope you

Household vinegar works well. You can either remove the head to soak it or pour it into a container and hold it with the head immersed for a while.

Yes, you can soak it in a cleaner that dissolves mineral deposits, such as Lime Away or CLR.

Fastest way.....toilet bowl cleaner. We have used it in all of our rental properties. Soak the head in the cleaner, then use the cleaner to clean the toilet. Trust me, you'll love it.

you don't have to take shower head off......Fill a large sandwich baggie 1/2 way with WHITE VINEGAR and immerse the shower head in baggie and tie it to the shower head stem.....leave on for 24 hours and water will flow like new. :)
