Paul Collingwood has just taken arguably the catch of the World Cup in their last super eight match against the West Indies.West Indies opener Devon Smith cut it (smashed) to point, where Collingwood sprang up and took it high above his head and almost behind him - probably the second best fielder in the world before he took that catch.Perhaps Jonty Rhodes, Gibbs or Ponting could not have matched it.

I even rate the catch taken by Dwayne Leverock of Bermuda highly.But the catch couldn't contribute much to the teams spirit as they were smashed hapelessly by the Indian batsmen.

Considering the fact that the match between England and West Indies ended quite dramatically in a nail biter(England won by one wicket with one ball to spare)the catch was very crucial or the West Indies would have raced to a total beyond their reach.

I consider the return catch Chaminda Vaaz took to dismiss Robin Uthappa in the match between India and Sri Lanka in the Group stage as the best catch because the ball was hit with lot of power and was coming very fast from the bat. It will be very difficult to take such a catch effectively on your own bowling.

Devon smith gave apowerful shot where Collingwood sprang up n caught it with one hand....usually players miss out on such things but collingwood managed that was simply superb
