The last part of my question : Would you go to Africa ( e.g. visit, travel, or stay) if ever you traced your roots and found out you had relatives there ?

I am full- blooded Norwegian and have never felt an urge to go to Norway. I know I have relatives there but they have come here to visit just to say they had been here to the modern world. We who are modern rarely are able to fit in with the older cultures because our awareness has evolved while theirs hasn't. As a matter of heracy those who haven't evolved dislike those who have, especially in the primative countries, so why make waves?

Yes. It's always interesting to find out about your ancestors. It gives you a richer identity.

Plus, Africa is just so... interesting! (Even if much of it is troubled.)
