Maybe long-sighted glasses would help?

.... I would hope I inherited my grandmothers' genes --- she's over 80 and still doesn't need glasses ---- drinks right out of the bottle .......

I can't bring myself to joke about beer after last night. My head isn't my own today (I think it might be Andrew LLoyd Webber's. I look that mashed up). Maybe no glass would have been my best option after about the fourth little drinket

No, my glasses do not help me. I like the tall glasses the best, though.

I find short-sighted glasses better for me, a couple of bacardis and I have got double vision.

Try a pair of binoculars they might be just what your looking for.
