I've always been fascinated by coined phrases. What is your coined phrase? Maybe I've heard of it before.

FOR EXAMPLE:

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush

Meaning

It's better to have a small actual advantage than the chance of a greater one.

My coined phrase is "you have two ears and one mouth so always listen twice as hard to what is being said before saying anything".
