A presidential debate for example. A political disagreement. A contemporary subject. Two different ideas about the same issue. The answers are fed into a computer, and the person who gives a wrong statistic, gets a small electrical shock. I do believe everyone would agree on this. Liberals, conservatives, Republicans, Democrats. Just to get the facts. No Political Lies!!

Facts are malleable when it comes to politics. I think the computer would overload trying to decide what was true and what was not. The biggest drawback would be that we should be voting for the guy that programed the computer as he has all the answers.

Who's going to program the computer, the same people that programmed the global warming computer? They had to keep changing the parameters until it gave the the Al Gore result they wanted.

I would not punish someone for getting it wrong. Revealing the truth is punishment enough. LYING, however, is a completely different issue on some level. You should see what happens when they are subjected to voice stress analysis.
