I do that too, hoping something I really fancy eating will magically appear, something obvious and right in the front of the shelve, never happens though

For me it's because while I am on the lookout for leftover curry or something good like that, I note some inferior alternatives only to be gone back to if I can't find anything good. I have to keep looking to reevaluate once I've looked in the cupboard and everywhere else as well. Then eventually have to go back for those celery sticks, or maybe just give up in despair.

I thought it was a guy thing. I have to look several times because everything gets moved around.
If the ketchup is moved 6 inches I never see it. LOL
