Though i wish he should continue for years and years....But he is emotionaly down now....he is the best player in the world and there is no match of his talent......but his talant is of no use when the whole team is not working up to the mark...and that has effected his overall performance as well ....he is disappointed and i think it is a better decision ....he needs peace now ! My wishes are with him ! and i will always miss his game!

Exactly, u hit the target. I would have also loved if Brian could have played at least 12-15 months of Test cricket & then depending upon his form, fitness etc. could have taken a decision to quit International cricket. Few other players also thinking on these lines to quit ODI career but wish to continue in Test cricket for example Inzy, Younis Khan.

I think that Brian Lara took the decision to retire at the most opportune time as he is nearing 38 years of age. If he continues to play and if he fails on couple of occasionss he will not be able to retire gracefully.

No ithink he left now cos he mite have been kicked out
since he retired ppl will remember him for his master bkaster batting n consider him a legend
unlike Tendulkar who is in immminent danger of being kicked out
Lara was a legend n will always be

His time came.......he should have left the game last year when he was still at the top of his game. Now people will remember that he choked just before he decided to call it quits

Looking to his performance during last few matches,it is
wiser for him to call it a day,an honourable way out.
