I was an athiest in college - I thought I was so intellectual and logical (like that really matters.....) I had a personal experience when I received the Holy Ghost - it was actually supernatural. I could not deny Him after that. I became a Christian as an adult.

I was born a Christian in a country with quite a few religions....I even worshipped "God" in another religion, but came back to Christianity. Among the religions I have known there is no other religion which exemplifies what is the true meaning of Divinity as Jesus does and none of the other religions have exactly shown a way to expiate sins as Jesus has done. I accept it by faith. All other considerations or issues if you will, will only raise endless arguments which will get us nowhere. Thanks for asking this question.

My parents both became Christians as adults. I was brought up in a Christian environment, and actually became a Christian when I was quite young. Although I might not have one of those amazing testimonies where God instantly turns someone's life around, I feel really privileged to have had grown up in the environment I did.

I became a Christian at 43. Before that I never went to church and my parents never went to church or talked about God with me. I didn't have any Christian friends and was never evangelized. But God arranged circumstances in my life to where I showed up at the church I now attend one day as an obligation and after I listened to the sermon the Holy Spirit moved me to answer the altar call and ask Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. Now I serve full time in ministry and volunteer to work in 3 other ministries. Check out my profile if you want the details.

I was raised to believe in God and I still believe in God but I am not a Christian, nor do I follow any other religion. I believe there is a creator that made us and observes us and that our role is to live and to be caretakers for the rest of creation.

I was raised in a Catholic household though I was never Confirmed or anything. I stopped believing when I was a child. The only time I step foot inside a church is for other people (like weddings).

I was raised to believe in God and attended the Catholic Church. I wouldn't have gotten through my parents divorce without Him. My Protestant mother made sure I knew Him tho she couldn't help me with my Catechism since she's not Catholic - yet.

As an adult, I appreciate my Catholic faith even more and love learning about it. This is where God wants me to be.

I was raised to believe in God, but I drifted away. Then, in my mid-thirties, my faith was renewed and I have come to know God better, but I still have a very long way to go.

You can be brought up by Christians but you are not a Christian unless you make a free will decision to be one when you are old enough to understand. People who say they were brought up as one and failed to make that transition decision must think deeply about what they are saying.
