I know we used them in WW1 and WW2. but is it possible to use magicians and their ability to decieve to fight terrorists?

No I am not a Libral. and I am not democrate or republican or any certain political party. I do believe deception is a tool used by governments and should be used as a military tool.

During World War II, Maskelyne was a great innovator for the allies and he applied the principles of stage magic to the battlefront. It's a shame to see so much ignorance on display here. Much of the techniques of modern camouflage owe their existence to Maskelyne's techniques.
This kind of implementation would be more difficult applied to terrorists because of the way they operate. But I am sure that some of this knowledge could be valuable in this effort.

I'm assuming that you mean the traditional "pull a rabbit out of the hat" kind, and not the actual "potion and spell" kind.
Sure, I don't see why not. They would probably make great infantry! ;-)
Aside from that, I don't know if there are many new "tricks" that they can share with the military. How much slight of hand can there be?
Chances are that whatever they shared at an earlier time is about all that they have to offer. The techniques are the same, it is just that the techniques might have to be used in a little bit more hi-tech ways. It's all in the application of them.

Hi, Magicians have been used in combat since the dawn of time. And surprisingly they are still being used. In fact during WWII there was a unit of magicians that specifically have done everything from hide canals to hiding whole units. Hope this helps some. ....... Shadow Stalker

i cant stop laughing a your stupidity, magicians aren't real they are illusionists. and this war should be over by now ,anyways they were never used in WWI or WWII where did you hear that? from the guy in Ur closet? I'm sorry that was out of line but no they cant be used because they're magic only work in their home country.

Yes, it is logical to employ magicians as Soldiers. You would have to hide their special gift, but I'm sure they could pull the trigger as good as any backyard mechanic.

magicians of nowadays wars are conspiracy theorists and media.
in the WWII deception was used to hide what shall be hidden and show mockups. none of the terorists group yet has the air recoinnaisance capability, so why blame them this way?
PSYOPS is the key word for today's winning the mind of civilians and enemy.

Sort of. The U.S. has driverless vehicals used to trick the enemy into blowing up a truck with nobody in it. Both sides use scare crows (dummys dressed up as somebody on their side).
