I'm starting to think that its some kind of rebellion. The way that they hate everyone isn't natural. I don't like liberals, but I don't go on the DNC chatboard (if they have one) and argue with them. So my guess is 23, I'm sure there are some old ones, but so many more young teenages going through that rebellous stage.

Rebellion against what? Against the greatest lie ever? Against the suppression by the religious they meet almost every day?
You may call it hate, but you guys started it. You are the hate warriors against everything that doesn't fit your bigot doctrine.
So please, don't mention the atheists hate anymore, and start to work on your own hate first.
But I think the average age of atheists is very low. Everybody in the world is born as an atheist, and even before the child can think and remember anything, the parents start indoctrinating it, thus brainwashing it to the "religious state". Not many people around the world are as lucky as I am that they didn't get the indoctrination. I was told nothing about god, so I could make my choice myself, and I decided not to choose. I haven't seen any god, or evidence for the existence of one yet (all evidence there is even tells a very different story), so I have no reason to assume there is one, let alone pray and thank "him".
If you want to live a delusional life, I don't mind. As long as you don't hurt anybody, and do not try to oppress your fairy tales upon others.

Gosh. Never considered that there might be an *average* age, but then my family's been atheist for four generations, so maybe I'm not a good judge. It's not a choice one makes as an act of rebellion or hatred. It's a well-considered act of an educated and intelligent person.

I found out that the older the person gets the higher the probaility that the person is an atheist. Personal coverage include my grandparents and some uncles who passed away the last deccennium , they had strong belief that this was the end that all was over, allthough they had lived a life with visits to the church. I thin you are biased, elderly usually dont get on the internet to discuss with you about religion.

I would say you are likely off by at least ten years if you are going for an average. I'd say the average age is more like 33-35.

And is everyone in rebellion who does not follow your system of belief? If so, then I'm a 38 yr old rebellious agnostic and proud of it.

a minimum of atheists get much less crap from religious people who have self assurance in "God" than the different people who have self assurance in a distinctive god or distinctive gods. What approximately people who worship a dogs god or some thing The atheists do not would desire to hardship approximately burning in hell for his or her sins or tripping over their dogs on an identical time as attempting to get to the bathing room. Oh and what approximately some who worship fish! No anchovies please, or i will go through eternal punishment. :( Yeah i'm being sarcastic. To be honest i don't comprehend in case you have been joking or severe with your positioned up yet the two way i think of a few of those information are as probably to be actual as i'm to furnish beginning to kittens. quite the Catholics having the main abortions. Yeah excellent! they had faster sin for bombing abortion clinics and burning wellbeing care expert who do abortions on the stake.

Atheists don't hate everyone, thanks. And the percentage of atheists who convert to organized religion again isn't high. It's not just a 'rebellious phase', it's a choice.

But yes, the average age of atheists is probably around your estimate- not because of kids sticking it to their parents, though. Religion is falling off, slowly but surely. In the US, anyway.

I guess the only real downside of atheism is it's kind of hard to prove; whereas if one religion or another is right, we'll all find out when we bite it :P

The number 23 is accurate, but it has nothing to do with the age of Atheists. It represents the percentage of people who still believe in God (or go to church regularly).

About 77% of the population now reject the concept which has been "foisted" upon the gullible by religious leaders.

I'm atheist and it isn't a rebellion, i used to be a hard-core born again christian. but then i started questioning the bible because it didn't seem right. i started studying science. and i came to the conclusion that there is no God. so there is no rebellion going on in my heart there is only good ole common sense. and science prevails.

I don't know, I'm outside the states. I do know that your loaded crap questions (they hate everyone blah blah blah) are the sign of an immature mind. Are you 17 yourself?

I checked your other questions. As a christian you should really know why YHWH is an important name already, instead of trying to bash other christians over the head with it.
