i'm scanning an image at 17.8 x 13.7 cm
what resolution i should set on the scanner if i want an output image on my computer with a same size as input

If its a photo scan it with 600 DPI resolution and if its printed or written document scan with 300 DPI resolution.

As I don't know what your output resolution is, that question cannot be answered.

In general, same resolution as your output or higher. You can always reduce resolution when you output, but increasing resolution results in fuzziness. If your printer is 300 dpi, then you scan at 300 dpi or higher.
