It would be appropriate to include at least the book of Enoch from the many books left out of the original Bible?

Do we really believe whats written in the present Bible as an accurate account of what really happened when so much information was deliberately left out?

It's the bits that were left in that give me problems! Such a tale of genicide, rapine, incest and hatred - should carry a health warning!

Many religions have already rewrite there bibles like the Jehovah Witnesses and the Mormons. If you are catholic you could not change the bible. The early councils already decided what books of the bible were inspired by God. As catholics we also use sacred traditions with the bible as were were commanded by the apostles

Commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I have delivered them to you.

The book that we have now that is called the book of Enoch wasn't really written by Enoch; what he really wrote is probably the first part of the book of Genesis.
I have some other books that are supposedly the "Lost books of Eden" and they don't make a lot of sense; it's quite obvious why they were left out.

Why would you think that the authors of the Bible were trying to give you a history lesson? They left out the invention of fire, the wheel, the alphabet, to name a few historical great moments. It's not about history. History is subordinate to the message. Sin, and Salvation. Etc...

And just exactly who gets to do the job? The Spirit of truth has final authority on absolute truth, ask Her.
