Why do people cheat on their significant others? I'm 16 and my bf cheated on me. His excuse was that he was drunk? I mean really? I've heard that one before!

you're 16 nothing you could do, short of a killing spree, constitutes significant so just relax it is just teenage hormones

People cheat for various reasons and I'll try to explain them.
1) Pathological cheats: These are common, basically they feel compelled to cheat at every opportunity.
2) Emotional cheats: These are missing something in heir relationship which is an emotional connection. They usually don;t get enough attention from their partner in the form of emotion and loving so they seek it elsewhere.
3) Sex cheats: often we love our partners deeply but have a certain part of our sexuality they don't fulfill. Alot of the time this is through misunderstanding or feeling embarrassed to ask our partner to perform a sex act for fear it will make them think less of us. Some people can live without it but some need it that bad they get it elsewhere.
4) Young cheats: Young guys have that much testosterone they simply can't say no... it's chemical so if your under 25 boyfriend cheats don't take it personally, the chemicals are doing his thinking for him lol.

Its very simple really, they simply do not love. Seriously, if a person really loves someone; like REALLY!!! Then that person will NEVER do anything to mess that up, no matter what circumstance they might find themselves in. Being drunk is no excuse. Love is that strong and if anybody says they love someone but dont feel like this then i dont believe they know what love is. I know this because I feel this way towards my boyfriend.
If you're bf cheated on you then F*** him
p.s. and to the person that said something about age....i just want to say that love can happen to anyone at any age.

Hi there! Well to answer that its a bit general. But people cheat doesnt matter man or woman as long as its a person they do this because of something didnt go right, something that you overlooked. At first you fall in love but when you get along together something isnt right you want more or you want something else, small, tall, handsome, not to handsome, justright, cute, annoying, softspoken, communication or more. A lot of people think the beauty is on the outside but the truth is 90% we should be looking at the inside.

People cheat because they're stupid. There is never an excuse for cheating. Some people just aren't mature enough to be in a relationship. I'm sorry. =(

the main reasons why i think people cheat is because they themselves have been cheated on or have gotten hurt in the past and therefore return the hurt on those who really like them. but then again if he really liked you he wouldnt have even thought of cheating on you unless he was genuinely drunk and had no control over himself.
you dont really deserve someone who cheats on you. even though it happened once how do you know it wont happen again?

People cheat to serve a particular purpose which is beneficial to them. Your bf did the same. He cheated you and when you found out bout it he wanted to fool you by giving such a lame excuse!!!Please don`t believe such a fraud who cheats people who love them. JUST DUMP HIM!

Not satisfied with their wife or g/f. There is no excuse to that because you need two hands to clap, correct ? Is silly and stupid to listen to his explanation because he is drunk or beyond his control, so he cheat.

It's normal. Guys nromally cheat once in their life. But constant cheaters? ou have to break the crap off him. Cheaters are loosers. Spare yourself from them.
