Is it different bone structure, or a matter of parents saying, 'Sanjay, kick out more when you walk' or 'Yuki, you're standing too straight!' ?

And why are studying the way different types of people walk? why don't you just ask them.?! Or maybe your observation has only been based on two different people with different ethnicitys. Have you study how the english walk, i've heard we walk in a very boring way with lack of confidence... thats worse than swinging the knee

I am sure its just what they have been taught or just see naturally, If things were pointed out they would probably change them. I think its cool that everyone is different, don't you ? Lifestyle and predecessors of different cultures are different anyway, so i suppose, not that i have noticed that often. that all people walk differently. My daughter is Down syndrome and i think its really cute how she walks, she walks like a duck and i completely adore her :). She is so cool !

I dont think its ethnic depends on where u live as well. For example some blacks in UK are not confident when the walk where as a black straight out of Africa walks with confidence and it shows. A black american walks with so much swager and flavor wit confidence as well.
