What I saw about prices on here seems to be correct. 800 - 1200 baht. If you don't like what the first cab driver wants haggle if you don't think you are getting anywhere walk to the next cab. Some drivers will want to stay in the city to make quicker money. Not all drivers will want to drive all the way down to pattaya so they will ask for more but like I said go to the next taxi. There should be 20-30 of them lined up during the day and evening, less late at night, all competing for your fare!!!! Use that to your advantage. Also make sure tolls are part of your negotiation. They will make you pay for them if you don't mention it. Tolls aren't too expensive but there are a few of them on the way down to Pattaya so its worth mentioning. Also keep your ears open on the plane and in the airport. I'm sure your not the only one going to Pattaya!!!!!! Hope this helped a little. Enjoy the trip.

It will cost you around 1000B for the cab ride from Suvarnabhumi to Pattaya. On exiting the the airport, turn left and go to the public taxi-stand near the end of the sidewalk. There, give them your destination and they will assign a cab to you. Pay the meter price plus the highway toll charges and additional 50B service charge, plus the return trip for the empty cab. Should come to about 1000B or so.

Have fun.

I arranged a taxi from Bangkok airport to Pattaya in November. A friend of mine suggested Mr. Toom who turned out to be a very nice person. He was on time to pick me up..He drove safely and he had an OK car...

It cost me 1200 Bahts which is about 37 USD. It's a very good price for the service you receive...

His e-mail address is: toom39@msn.com

And no, he is no friend of mine... This is just a suggestion to you....

hey, from what i used to go by bus from bk to pattaya, you should go to akekamai not morchit.
but if you start at the new airport, taxi would be a good choice.
it will take only 1.5 hrs (no more than 2 hrs for sure)
if not, you will spend around 45mins to an hour going to akekamai from the airport, then another 2-2.5 hours from akekamai to pattaya.

about 1200 baht, recommend you find someone else on your flight going to pattaya and share a taxi. another option is they have buses now from the airport to pattaya for about 300 baht, not 100% sure of price.

reasonable rate is around 1200bahts. and dont be ripped off there is some dodgy taxi firms that will happily charge 2000 or more so dont be afraid to turn down any dodgy offers.
