No. If you exercise to the edge of your muscles capacity you are stressing the cells. It takes 2 days for them to repair themselves Exercising too soon has the opposite effect. it will just damage the cells too much for them to build up.

The answer to this question depends on what muscles you worked out on Friday, and what muscles you plan to work out today. If you are planning to work out the same muscles that are sore I would definitely advise against it. You will not be aiding your body at all because those muscles have already been broken down and what they need is rest and recuperation. A good saying to remember is "Muscles are not made in the gym" and nothing could be more true. What your muscles need to grow is adequate stimulation, but what is almost more important is proper hydration, nutrition, and rest. Finally, it is never a good idea to work out muscles that are sore. Your body is trying to tell you something. Make sure to listen to it.

No. Your muscles are telling you that they were pushed on Friday and need a day or two of rest. You need to alternate your workouts so that one day you work the upper portion and the next day you work the lower portion. This schedule permits your tissue to rebuild after being torn - literally - and rest.

Do yourself a favor and go buy the Lifting Weights For Dummies book. No insult here - just a good resource for learning to be smart about your routine so you don't hurt yourself.

it is fine for you to do exercise today...muscle pain is normal especially when you begin a new type of exercise, it just means that the exercise your doing is working...
...make sure though that you don't over do it otherwise you will cause damage.
do little bits at a time rather than a killer work out in one go...your muscles need to get use to this exercise and once it does you can add extra weight to the work out and the burn will eventually stop.

...it is also recommended that you take a cold shower after wards...all the rugby players do this..

hey, it is normal that your muscles are aching. that means you are usng muscles that you didn't know you had. the best thing for you to do is to keep working out and in a few days you will be fine. don't stop because it will just make things worse.

A good idea to do some weights but not to overdo it. You'll gain strength if you keep on doing them, but be careful not to damage your muscles by TOO much work while you're sore.

Yes! Believe it or not, it will actually make you feel better if you do. I know that doesn't seem right but it does help since it loosens up the muscles. Try it.
