How to remove Win 98 and install smaller footprint operating system on old laptop ?

Win 98 no longer supported.Laptop has only 5gig drive,hence need for small operating system..

you can always go back to DOS.

If it is such an old laptop why do you care if windows 98 is not supported anylonger? Newer hardware will probably not work with it either.

you can always try linux there lots of diffrent linux os's for free my fav is ubuntu
