Ok ladies, I know that nobody is "perfect" but describe the perfect mate (what does he look like, does he hold the door open for you, does he talk alot, spirituality, personality, etc.) Just want to get an idea of what you think (guys, we need to take some notes on this one).

I just asked this question in the "Singles & Dating" section to get a secular view, now let's hear what the Christian ladies have to say....

Broken, surely you jest...

breakable, sounds like you're looking for an inteligent guy who likes to talk and share his feelings. I really like your last comment "As the couple gets to a "couple" situation...it is good to begin to worship at the same church."
I think this is so important!

Matt, you must be single, broke, or single because your last girlfriend stole all your money :) Hang on to your wallet, man!

starjumper, the whole debate thing does sound fun, but the whole unequally yoked thing doesn't. That must be tough at times.

Nana, that's AWESOME!!! I hope you find a man like that (Jesus should be all of our role model).

azar_and_bath, WOW! This is good stuff. I would like to comment on several things and ask you some more questions if you don't mind (perhaps you can e-mail your answers?): "Oh! Praise God! Where have you been all my life??!! Sorry, read the title & thought you were offering..." - I am single :) "someone who will love me with the same sacrificial love that Christ has shown for us." - can you be more specific on this one? "Yes, hold the door. No, don't talk too much. Yes, be as or more mature than I am (spiritually & mentally)." - Way cool! So how much talk is too much? "No, you shouldn't have a problem doing housework when I'm sick....should be fully capable of changing a diaper & making a bottle." What if the guy LOVES to clean (neat freak!) and can't wait to have a child he can love and take care of? "I do expect the bills to be paid if I'm working at home with the kids." I like the "keeper of the home while the guy works" thing! "My lovely wife" - How about "my better half"?

Lol! I used to be a bartender and dated a lot of guys, but I was very picky about them. One of my regulars asked me once what I was looking for, and so I gave him my list of what I thought the perfect guy was. When I finished, he said, It sounds like by you're list that you're looking for Jesus! I thought about it for a minute and said, Well, I guess I am! So the man I'm looking for, has to be a good-looking carpenter, or in construction, and have the character, the love, the faith and kind-heartedness of Jesus Christ. A real Christian man who's desire is to be like Christ in every area of his life.
I haven't found a guy like Jesus yet, and I'm perfectly happy just the same.

Hmm... perfect man? Easy: someone who will love me with the same sacrificial love that Christ has shown for us. Yes, hold the door. No, don't talk too much. Yes, be as or more mature than I am (spiritually & mentally). No, clothes don't make the man, but they should at least be Bounce fresh.

Yes, long hair went out with Jesus. No, you shouldn't have a problem doing housework when I'm sick. Yes, you should be fully capable of changing a diaper & making a bottle.

No, you don't have to hand me your paycheck. But yes, I do expect the bills to be paid if I'm working at home with the kids. No, I don't expect you to cheat on me because you're unhappy. Yes, I expect to be introduced as "My lovely wife --" not "Here's the old bat now!"

Pretty simple stuff, really. Just ask your grandfather how he courted your grandmother, & follow his lead. We'll let you know if we have a problem with something...

besides to the different posters: The previous testomony, The Septuagint [translated from Hebrew to Greek someplace 250 BC] replaced into in placed at that factor, used even in the previous Jesus' time. the hot testomony replaced into written 35-a hundred advert and translated to latin via St Jerome, each and every now and then 4 hundred advert. it remains on parchments and examine interior the church, or preached orally. So, there is not any NEW TESTAMENTS IN A e book/BIBLE kind at that factor compiled with Septuagint.' Bible on my own' concept isn't in existence at that factor as there is not any e book to call bible. It replaced into using Oral custom up till 1400 while the 'compiled e book kind bible' finally hit the printing press. In different words, it took the Catholic Church approximately 4 hundred years of amassing, enhancing, and sorting the classic manuscripts and have been given printed in 1400. there have been additionally lots of uninspired writings [apocryphal books] that have been floating around that weren't cannonized.

Leonidus, King of Sparta! I think that says it all.
I'm christian, but happily married to an atheist because we 'complete each other' and LOVE to debate! Our child might be a little confused at first, but we both agree he should hear both sides and determine for himself when he grows up what to believe or not. Luckily, mothers are always right, so he'll take after me! LOL. By the way, I AM married to a Spartan. I live in Greece as a result.

A man should be considerate and interested in his date. He should offer intellectual conversation and know when to end the date on a positive and respectful note. He should know his date well enough to offer words of encouragement and ask how things are going at work and or school. He should offer information about his own life to help his date get to know him better. As the couple gets to a "couple" situation...it is good to begin to worship at the same church. It is good to get to know one another's friends and coworkers.
