DO NOT PANIC

Contact your local insurance broker and they'll fix you up no problem - if you had a no claims bonus in the last two years before you were banned you can probably still use it. Your previous insurance company would offer terms if noone else would but unless they specialise you may find the cover restrictive.

Expect to pay about twice as much as you did before the conviction though - unless there are other factors such as accidents. It will be a good idea to have details such as how much blood was in your alcohol. If you want comprehensive cover a higher excess will probably be applied

After the first year things rapidly get better - there are so many people looking to offer insurance in the UK now.

Why are you thinking of driving again? You don't need insurance you need a brain. The cheapest insurance is £5000 a year so that should keep you off the road for good.

you'll never get insurance after being done for drink driving. no insurance company would want to associate with a convicted drink driver. automatic 3 year ban and a re-sit of the test.
