It depends on what your goal was.
On the face of it, oh yeah, it's kinda stupid.
But... perhaps you had a bet on, say, whether you could get more than, say, 31 answers without being hateful or obnoxious while doing so. In that case, it could be a very smart question meeting both those conditions AND still getting more than the required number of answers. Cash in the pocket generally lends an air of non-stupidity to one's questions and statements.
So it's hard to say, really. Not enough information to go on.

I don't think there are any stupid questions, just stupid people asking them. But this is not stupid, just an entertaining one. And it got me 2 points..... 10 more would be great!

Well it depends,
first of all we have the predual initiative of the question to take in consideration........so instead of -is this- you might just have meant- this is-...........and because we can extrapolate from this question posted on the yahoo site that you are stupid, we can skip the consideration.
Secondly we should look at the time wasted answering this particular question by morons like myself, the consequence is wasting precious battery lifetime, so this in turn means not reducing green house gasses, see equation 1.
To conclude i might suggest : A Question? This Is Stupid.
lol.

We both are stupid and I appreciate your sprite in putting the question on screen. Bravo! very nice. Accept my answer as also stupid if you think your question is so. I don't think so. You are a good judge.

yes, but a lot of people are wondering about the same thing. I would suggest that they all get a tall glass and not fill it with anything. Then sit and wonder what they would like to fill it with.
When they figure it out...put the glass back and take a nap.
That works for most people.

Why should it be. Much more stupid questions are available. Improve in stupidity. Others are highly stupefied. Have good training.
