1. New opporating systems always have bugs. Its best to wait untill they work most of them out to upgrade.
2. You will have to learn how it works and whats different. wasted time.
3. You will have trouble getting your driveers to work with it.
4. The price will drop later on down the road.

1. Whenever microsoft releases a new windows the frist release has bugs in it.
2. Other software companies have not caught up with the new system and are not yet compatible.
3.there are no other reasons.
4. Wait and purchase vista later after the bugs have been worked out and everyone else has caught up.

Your current system is working fine.
You don't play the latest games.
You play old games.
You use your computer mostly for web browsing, music and movies.
You don't want to upgrade your computer just that the operating system can work faster but the other software will not benefit as much from the upgrade (ex: Winamp or Firefox can work even on P I :) )
You use Linux

1.If ur computers not cabatible it will mess it up
2.Windows XP Media Center Edition looks better and is better so buy it instead
3.Most games and stuff arn't avalable for it yet like games etc
4.It's cheaper to buy a different version of Windows then pay like out the *** for Vista
