He had been battling cancer for a year and a half. He'd been going thru painful chemo and radiation treatments. Then around the Christmas season he opted to do risky brain surgery to remove a tumor they found on his brain. He wasn't supposed to survive that surgery. Because the surgery was tough he was put into a coma for a month. He came thru that. What guts and character he had. I couldn't have done that. He then was home for a little while, but had to go back in to the hospital because of complications. That's where he fought his last battle. I will miss him very much. RIP my good friend.

I found out from my friend on here Brent that he had had a very serious operation and later found out that he had cancer and was undergoing chemo treatments sp I believe it was probably due to the complications of it.

he was fighting cancer, had gotten thru the operation and was in treatment, I believe it was chemo...he leaves us a well liked and knowledgable boxing aficionado at the age of 41, far too soon...
