is it what he wants for us?

Will can be defined as a being’s rational inclination toward its own good. Whatever has intellect also has will, for will follows upon intellect. Further, every nature inclines to its own proper end or good. When the end is rational then the inclination is a rational inclination. God has rational inclination toward the good of his own nature. Therefore, God has will.

Having will does not mean that God changes. For the object of God’s will is his divine Goodness. And whatever is in oneself necessitates no movement outside oneself to attain. Hence, God does not have to move outside himself to attain his own proper end. And will is an inclination toward one’s own end. So, there is will in God, inasmuch as he inclines toward his own good. Will also involves love and delight in what is possessed. God loves and delights in the possession of his own nature. Therefore, God has will in the sense of delight but not in the sense of desire.

You will never have the answer you require on this, because to each person are their own beliefs regarding god's will. Much like the bible is interpreted to say what each person thinks the scriptures mean, the same is true for god's will and plans for people in the future.

"God's will" can mean different things depending on the context and the speaker. Some people use that phrase when they are telling you their beliefs about what God thinks and wants. Others use that phrase when they are describing a situation which is beyond the control of man. I don't use it at all.

God will is that which is the best and highest thing for you. Some think that is will be some horrible thing that they will hate every minute of. That is not the case. Yes, it is true that sometimes we must do difficult things because they are the right thing and we know it is what God would have us do, but most of the time God's will is something we will actually enjoy.

Father God's will for us is that we follow His commandments and those of His Son, Jesus Christ. That we allow the Holy Spirit to direct us so that our life will be the best it can be. He allows us to be free agents. We choose to follow the Words of Father God and Jesus Christ or we can say no.

It mostly just means fate.
Like when someone says for example, "It was God's will for you to get run over by a truck", it would interpret like "It was fate for you to get run over by a truck".
