The bridesmaids bouque's would all still be matching and look extremely life-like. They do not look tacky at all, they look the real thing. It would just save SO MUCH money. I, however, would carry a bouque that would be much larger and more extravagant. But I do not know the standards for this, what do you guys think?

I have helped with several weddings along with planning my own and they can be VERY pricey! In one wedding the bride wanted real flowers and had the rest of the arrangements were fakes including all the extra decorations. Going that way saved her over $2,000! I had all real flowers at my own since I had black majic roses and baby calla lilies, and the fake ones looked fake which is why I went with the real thing, but I ended up spending more on them than my dress! I would suggest to you that if you plan on throwing a bouquet that you do a smaller real version of your flowers and then you can still keep your for a momento! Congrats!! And good luck!

Artificial or silk flowers do NOT belong at a wedding. If you are wearing a real diamond then you should carry real flowers and so should the members of your wedding party (everyone!). First of all, the Bride should not carry such a big bouquet that it covers most of her body plus have you considered how much it will weigh? Cut back on the size of your wedding bouqet and put that savings into buying REAL flowers for the bridesmaids (and groomsmen and parents). True story . a Bride I know carried a bouquet so large and so heavy that her Father had to carry down it the aisle for her and then it was placed on a chair during the ceremony because it was too heavy for the Maid of Honor to hold. I just got all of my flowers done by one of the florists on ebay, and she did a WONDERFUL custom order for me. All of my flowers, from my bridal bouquet, bridesmaids flowers, toss bouquets, corsages, bouts, pew bows and more...for less than 200 including shipping. They look great, they are wrapped in ribbon matching my colors, they compliment my bridesmaids gown color and they will not end up wilted on your wedding day.

If you are going with artificial flowers, I think you should do artificial flowers for everyone including yourself. Silk flowers and real flowers will look VERY different in your pictures...go with one or the other, to keep things looking uniform for your photos.

There are a lot of fake flowers that look fake, but I have seen some that without touching them you would never know, so Yes it's fine to use fake flowers.

Yea, that's what I'm doing and I'm saving a lot of money by doing so. I say do the whole wedding in silk flowers. Why waste money on something that will die in two or three days.

Don't get TOO carried away with large and extravagant... my bouquet of 48 roses was actually a bit MUCH in retrospect!

Costco does wonderfully reasonably wedding packages.. when my daughters get married I fully intend on taking advantage of them!

Reuse them after the wedding reception to decorate your head table!

It is perfectly fine to do as you've planned. Don't forget to have the grooms boutonniere be made with a fresh flower also. ( pick one type of flower that is used in your bouquet)

This is perfectly acceptable. You have every right to have real flowers and larger than everyone else's.
