5:20 AND, LO, Moses said unto his people:" [31] O my people! Remember the blessings which God bestowed upon you when he raised up prophets among you, and made you your own masters, [32] and granted unto you [favours] such as He had not granted to anyone else in the world.
5:21 O my people! Enter the holy land which God has promised you; but do not turn back [on your faith], for then you will be lost!"
5:24 [But] they said: "O Moses! Behold, never shall we enter that [land] so long as those others are in it. Go forth, then, thou and thy Sustainer, and fight, both of you! We, behold, shall remain here!"
5:25 Prayed [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Of none am I master but of myself and my brother [Aaron]: draw Thou, then, a dividing-line between us and these iniquitous folk!"

They lost it since that day. When they have murdered the prophets and disbelieved in JEsus peace be upon him, God punished them and chose others over them.

As for Jerusalem, it is mentioned a few times actually.

17:1 LIMITLESS in His glory is He who transported His servant by night from the Inviolable House of Worship [at Mecca] to the Remote House of Worship [,at Jerusalem] - the environs of which We had blessed [1] -so that We might show him some of Our symbols: for, verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-seeing. [2]

95:1 CONSIDER the fig and the olive,
(By Az-Zaytun (olive).) Ka`b Al-Ahbar, Qatadah, Ibn Zayd and others have said, "It is the Masjid of Jerusalem (Bayt Al-Maqdis).''

this is only a few places in the Qur'an that i have mentioned.

God told them, fulfil that promise and God will fulfill His.

lets look at manhattan (new york, ny).

presumebly, peter minuet bought manhattan from the manhattoe indians for $24.00.

problem!

the dutch did not speak the indian language and the indians did not speak dutch. well, to this day people still say manhattan island was purchased for $24.00.
ther are very few thing you can buy in manhattan for $24.00.

there is a saying, posession is 9/10 of the law.
the guy or country who has posession will always advance unbelievable arguments to justify the current position.

when we die, we go back to the earth.

even at our current state of development, we are unable to co-exist. greed, false pride and cruelty are all sob's.

things have gotten so bad that for the most part jews and arabs cannot sit down and reason together. they would prefer to kill each other. believe it or not , these are people who are related by blood and have lived together in peace until about 1924, when britain decided there was too much peace and things were too quiet.

unfortunately, there are external forces driving the divisions, at the heart of the divisions is money and control.

your sentinemt is reasonable, unfortunately, at present there are no solutions in sight and everyone is armed to the teeth and ready to use weapons. my thinking, is that if you have the weapons, sooner or later they will be used.. witness events in virginia this week. witness the war n iraq, on a mistaken belief, many people have and continue to die. simply because of a belief that was wrong.

by the way abraham is buried in iraq, not hebron.

every day i go to a catholic church and pray for peace and understanding between peoples.

unfortunately, as many lonely women as there are in the world, two men will do battle with each other over a particular woman. in many cases, serious bodily harm is done.

i suspect god might cry every day as a result of our stupidity. he dosen't need to but, he might.

if we all pray, things could improve.

Israel is the only nation on earth, created by a sovereign act of God. God gave title deed to the land of Israel, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and their descendants "Forever" (Gen.15:18; 17:2-8) Ishmael the father of the Arabs, was excluded from the title deed to the land in Gen. 17:19-21.
Therefore, modern day Palestinians have no biblical mandate to own the land. The boundaries of Israel are recorded in scripture...Num.34:2-15...Josh. 11:16-23; 13:1-22
Ezek. 47:13-28 and all of Chap. 48
God further speaks on His judgment on any person or nation who tries to divide Israel...Joel 3:2,14 Zech. 2:8
Psa.122:6 King David says: "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you."
Regarding Israel, God also says: "I will bless those who bless you and I will curse him who curses you."
Look at the current world today and anyone can plainly see the truth of this promise. The countries who support Israel are the richest and most prosperous countries in the world. Those who oppose Israel are at constant war, famine and very low living conditions for the people. Gods Word is the same yesterday as it is today. Praise The Holy Lamb Of God!!!!

The important thing in Jerusalem is the Al Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock.

If that is threatened then Muslims are obligated to protect it.

If nobody was to threaten Islamic holy places and nobodys land was seized illegally then Muslims would have no problems living with all other faiths as they did for the 1300 years during Islamic Rule.

That is about it.......

I do not believe nothing like "some old jewish relics". I do believe in Greek, Roman ancient relics. The jews are famous "hiding" some "relics" in various places in the Med basin in order to create fake historical facts about their country. Some users have already stated that there were cases like that in Crete and Cyprus. Luckily for us the counterfeiters were arrested and truth was restored. Maybe jews feel envy for the Greeks or the Romans, so yes there was no Jerusalem no wall no nothing. Everything on that land is Roman. They have been digging for 100s of years and they always come up empty handed. Bye bye

Because they will say that God gave the land to Abraham, and that's true, and they will say that Ismael was his child and that's true too! BUT he said the holy line would come out of Isaac and Jacob and they would get the land, and they don't want to heart that!

I agree that the Holy Land belongs to the Jews. They are God's chosen people. It is their land, God gave it to them. As you say the same God that the Muslim *say* they follow.
