Cain was the first child of Adam and Eve recorded in Scripture (Genesis 4:1). His brothers, Abel (Genesis 4:2) and Seth (Genesis 4:25), were part of the first generation of children ever born on this earth.
Even though only these three males are mentioned by name, Adam and Eve had other children. In Genesis 5:4 a statement sums up the life of Adam and Eve -- "And the days of Adam after he had fathered Seth were eight hundred years. And he fathered sons and daughters." This does not say when they were born. Many could have been born in the 130 years (Genesis 5:3) before Seth was born.
During their lives, Adam and Eve had a number of male and female children. The Jewish historian Josephus wrote that, "The number of Adam's children, as says the old tradition, was thirty-three sons and twenty-three daughters."[11]
The Bible does not tell us how many children were born to Adam and Eve. However, considering their long life spans (Adam lived for 930 years -- Genesis 5:5), it would seem reasonable to suggest there were many! Remember, They were commanded to "Be fruitful, and multiply" (Genesis 1:28).

Ah yes, another literalist, how amusing. There are many things not mentioned because they really do not matter. The Old Testament account of Adam, Eve, and their 3 sons are only given to illustrate man's inability to truly obey God. The wives would have come from the same source as the boys did. Inter marriage was not an issue, then. It only became an issue after the flood.

The idea of "in-breeding" sounds gross in today's world. Laws on the books today about it are concerned with the genetic damage that can occur to the offspring. This was a concern after many generations of human beings. God told people to not inbreed in Leviticus chapter 18. This was after the world population was in the millions. Back in Eden, relations were with relatives initially. People lived for hundreds of years, and God told them to be fruitful and multiply. Adam and Eve had many children, not just Seth, Cain, and Abel. They in turn had many children, and so on. The Jewish historian Josephus wrote, "The number of Adam's children, as says the old tradition, was 33 sons, and 23 daughters." Adam lived to the age of 930. The genetic breakdown wasn't a concern then because Adam was made perfect in the image of God.

Genesis 4:17 says, "Cain lay with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch." Who was his wife? It is implied in the biblical text that Cain married one of his sisters. Several facts lead us to this conclusion.
First, it is clear that Adam and Eve had a number of children. Genesis 5:4 says, "After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters." Since Adam and Eve were the first man and woman, and since God had commanded them (and their descendants) to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28), it seems reasonable to conclude that Cain married one of his many sisters. It is also possible that he married a niece or even a grandniece.
One must keep in mind that in the early years of the human race there were no genetic defects that had yet developed as a result of the fall of man. By the time of Abraham, God had not yet declared this kind of marriage to be contrary to His will (see Genesis 20:12). Laws governing incest apparently did not become enacted until the time of Moses (Lev 18:7-17; 20:11,12,14,17,20,21). Hence, there was no prohibition regarding marrying a sister (or niece or grandniece) in the days of Cain.

Read Genesis chapters 1 & 2 and you'll see that there are two creation stories. God created some humans in chapter 1 and then in chapter 2 God created Adam & Eve. If you believe Genesis then Adam & Eve were not the first humans.

The Bible says Adam and Eve were first created and they lived in the garden of Eden, it never says if there were others created and put elsewhere. It also states the sons left went off to find wives sounds like they went farther than their mothers room to me. There is alot of text that has been removed so no one really knows, but it is really irrelevant to the bibles whole meaning.

One simple scripture will answer your question:
Genesis 5:4
And the days of Adam after his fathering Seth came to be eight hundred years. Meanwhile he became father to sons and daughters.
Oh also Genesis 6:1 Now it came about that when men started to grow in numbers on the surface of the ground and daughters were born to them
The situation is that at the point of fall from perfection and no Mosaic Law against incest the human family was not in harm of being in a situation that we have today of those going insane or whatever from being "inbred".
Now, since the human family is far, far from perfection even the lawmakers know that it is "not good" for those of the same family to "inbreed", thus a law was inacted. Just as the law was inacted in the Mosaic law regarding incest....but not before then.

Where indeed ... there was a land full of people in the land of Nod according to God's word. Cain was very frightened when he was sent out following the murder of his brother Abel. Would he be so frightened from people he knew ... certainly he not be afraid of any one related to him. God caused a mark to be put on him to protect him, if you will, from strangers in another land. The Bible states plainly that God said "Let's make man in Our image." Who are the other we of the "Our Image" ... There was alot going on during the creation time, the Bible only points that Adam and Eve were the genetic stock that Jesus would descend from, why would their descendants, others on the earth, be repeatedly called Heathen and Pagans anyways ... no, there is a certainty indeed that there was other humans in the world, whole other races in fact, the five root races were already created, Adam and Eve merely joined the genetic scene in the "Image of God" as the one genetic line that would lead to the blood-line Jesus would be born from. The people known as the Israelites, the people of Jehovah, the King of Kings over the counsel of Elohim, the people of the Lord of Lords over the throngs of angels, these people came from Adam and Eve. Last note, there were giants in those days, men of old, if there was only children of Adam and Eve, where would this ancestral line of come from ... and why would the Israelites kill off there own family members the way God lead them to do when they eventually purged the land after coming out of Egypt ... there were different peoples of many genetic lines all the way back as far as history goes ... the Lord's mysteries are unfathomable indeed.

I am really tired of this stupid question the Bible is very clear, try reading it for once.
"ADAM HAD OTHER SONS AND DAUGHTERS" Genesis 5:4. You cannot even read up to the fifth chapter? Sheesh. This is why I hate discussing theology, the answers are clearly written in scripture people just resort to age-old questions that are clearly obvious.
i.e. Can God create a rock so big he can't move it
Can God make a square circle
Who created God
Oye if people cannot understand as simple things as those how should we expect them to understand redemption and sanctification? Why didn't God chose a smarter animal like parakeets to be his people. Why humans. Oye.
